NEXMED FILES NDS IN CANADA

East Windsor, NJ, October 22 , 2007 -- NexMed, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEXM), a developer of innovative transdermal products based on its proprietary NexACT drug delivery technology, today announced that it filed the New Drug Submission (NDS) for its topical alprostadil treatment for erectile dysfunction with Health Canada on October 19, 2007. Health Canada customarily accepts or refuses an NDS and designates review status within forty five (45) days of filing. Once accepted, Health Canada's target is to complete review within three hundred (300) days for ninety percent (90%) of submissions.
