Client Liaison

Position Objective:

The objective of this position is to perform the client liaison function for all projects related to the CRO business side of Bio-Quant.

Essential Functions:

  • Function 1:
    Client Liaison: This function will constitute performing logistical coordination of CRO projects as well as coordinating with future clients
  • Description:
    Specifics of this task include but not limited to working with the client to ensure receiving of test articles, communication with the client and the study directors on initiation dates, and weekly updates to sponsors on the status of their studies. The role also requires daily communication with the study directors to ensure that protocols and amendments are being followed, reagents and animals are ordered in a timely fashion, progress of the study is updated in the database and a daily study status report is sent to the department heads. The role also requires daily updates on the status of the studies to the account manager to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Main responsibilities of coordinating with future clients include:
    1. Follow up on all quotes signed by clients
    2. Send welcome e-mail to clients at quote signing and start of all studies giving timelines and establishing expectations
    3. Send weekly study update and mid-study progress e-mail giving client a progress update.
    4. Send end-of-study e-mail to assess Bio-Quant performance
May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Nature and Scope

This position interacts with all levels of personnel in and outside of the company. That interaction requires the ability to communicate effectively with varying personal styles, good judgment, tact and diplomacy and patience. Effectiveness in this role requires a functional knowledge of project management and quality assurance systems, policies and procedures and a detailed understanding of the organization's scientific programs and objectives. The job encounters semi-routine work situations with some variations from the norm. Job encounters problems of moderate scope and complexity. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position. Initiative and organization skills are extremely valuable to ensure a smooth office operation. The incumbent normally receives no instruction on routine work, and general instruction on new assignments.

Education:

Bachelors' degree or Masters in Biology or related sciences

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 3-4 years' relevant professional level project management. Proven success in multi-tasking, providing excellent customer service and managing an organized operation are necessary. Demonstrated team orientation and excellent communication skills are important. User level working knowledge of project management and/or technical supports is required. Working in vitro and in vivo experiences in PK, PD, Cancer Research, Inflammation, Metabolic diseases is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
